Personal injury case, 2023 – present

Currently serving as an expert witness for defense.

Authored expansive report based on review of complaint and various exhibits, a visit to plaintiff's home for inspection of the accused product and area where injury occurred, and performance data provided by the defense. 

Prepared defense attorney for deposition of plaintiff’s expert.

Deposed in June 2025 via Zoom.

Case is currently active. 

Patent Infringement Case, 2019 – 2021

Served as an expert witness for defense.

Drafted three declarations in support of petition for inter partes reviews of specific claims of three separate patents assigned to plaintiff. 

Deposed twice in January 2021 via Zoom for two separate declarations. 

Cases for two of the patents were settled, while a third case resulted in a judgment determining all challenged claims unpatentable. 

Patent infringement case, 2018

Served as an expert witness for the plaintiff. 

Developed claim construction, infringement contentions and drafted an expert report. 

No deposition or testimony was required. 

The case continued until summary judgment in the defendant’s favor in 2020.

Trademark suit, 2012

Served as a 30(b)(6) witness for the plaintiff with regards to certain portions of the litigation.

Worked with outside counsel during the discovery phase: responding to interrogatories, producing documents and preparation for the deposition. 

Deposed in Chicago in June 2012. 

Prior to trial, the suit was settled out of court.
